Lijin County has a rich land resources, which has available land more than 190 acres, arable land area of 80 million mu, natural grassland and artificial grassland more than 40 million mu, nearly a million mu of land to be exploited. The Yellow River water is the main water source in Lijin County, with an average annual inflow of 42.31 billion m3. Yellow River water quality is good, hydrogen ion concentration between 8 ~ 8.3PH value, the total hardness of 3 to 6 degrees, the degree of mineralization is less than 1 g / l. In 2001 the Yellow River water supply 484 million m3.

There are oil, salt, shells and other mineral resources in Lijin. Lijin is located in the hinterland of Shengli Oilfield, has rich oil and gas resources. It has more than 3300 wells, is one of the main producing areas of Shengli Oilfield. The county has coastline of up to 59 km, intertidal zone with 38 million mu. Due to the Yellow River estuary, it has richfish, shrimp, crab and shellfish resources, and  it was known as" The Golden Coast" and "Oriental shrimp hometown". It has red-crowned crane, white swans and other rare birds. Beside this ,it also has the growth of reed, Po, Mao, Tamarix, yellow vegetables and also has more than 200 kinds of Chinese herbal medicinesuch as wolfberry, capillaris, Motherwort, plantago, Tribulus terrestris, Grass and so on . With the Yellow River mouth sunrise, sunset, the Yellow River into the sea and other natural landscape together, forming new, wild, odd tourism characteristics.
